The Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) Mongolia is continuing its efforts in helping over 1000 families who have been affected by the dzud in five soums of both Arkhangai and Bayankhongor Aimags.
Tobacco control laws and Students teaching teachers
The Health Education Against Tobacco (HEAT) project is working with the Legal Department of Ulaanbaatar city’s Governor’s office to improve tobacco control in Ulaanbaatar city. The HEAT project (supported by AusAid and ADRA Australia) team and the Legal Department established a working group on tobacco control, which is headed by the Deputy Governor of Ulaanbaatar city.

Special Certificate Required to Sell Tobacco
Last month the Health Education against Tobacco (HEAT) project (supported by AusAid and ADRA Australia) organized a press conference in close collaboration with the Legal Department of the Ulaanbaatar city Governor’s office regarding new regulation on sale of tobacco products, according to which special permission is required for business entities to sell tobacco.
